Biography
Lukas Makeswaran is a singer and songwriter from Germany, born on July 1st, 1993. Music has been an integral part of his life since early childhood. His exposure to music began with flute lessons and membership in a show dance group, where he was able to gain first stage experiences. At the age of eleven, Lukas started writing his own songs.
As a teenager, he continued to explore his musical interests by taking hip-hop dance lessons, starting to home-record his first songs and continuing to write new songs.
2020 Lukas participated in an online casting by "The Honest Vocal Coach" on YouTube with the song “Rehab” by Amy Winehouse. He received vocal-coaching from Georgina Hill-Brown in the following years. Since 2021, he has been working on his final original songs, crafting lyrics and melodies. Lukas' music style is a fusion of rock, adult alternative pop/rock, a bit of blues and a spark of funk.
His debut-album "Mirror of my soul", produced in Brazil and recorded in Germany, was released end-2023. Lukas' aim is to create music that validates people's emotions and makes them feel seen and understood. His songwriting reflects personal experiences, including his struggles with mental health, self-destruction, isolation and therapy. Despite its introspective nature, Lukas' music offers a glimmer of hope, which connects with his listeners on a deep level.
